Rest assured you and your travel advisor will be contacted as soon as possible should there be any major changes affecting your itinerary or travel plans.

Flexibility Policy and Insurance Coverage

We understand the importance of flexibility when making your travel plans and have designed special programs to provide additional peace of mind. Visit our Peace of Mind page for more information.

Unexpected interruptions or delays may occur when traveling internationally. All travelers should ensure they have adequate trip cancellation, interruption and medical insurance.

For US travelers who have detailed questions regarding the Travel Guard insurance policy, please visit Travel Guard directly at https://www.travelguard.com/travel-news/coronavirus-advisory to see specific applicable policy terms which are detailed by state of residency. Or call Travel Guard at 1-866-833-8780 for questions regarding policy coverage.

Travel Entry Requirements

Travelers are responsible for ensuring they meet the travel entry requirements of each country visited during the river cruise. Please refer to the Travel Entry Requirements page for important details.

Should any guest require a Covid-19 test during the cruise, AmaWaterways will provide assistance and access to local testing facilities. All expenses related to testing or the need for medical assistance, accommodation and other expenses are the responsibility of each guest.

Mask wearing on board our ships is optional and a personal choice for guests. Our wonderful crew continue to wear their face coverings.

Suspended or Modified Sailings

Our Mekong River cruises through Vietnam and Cambodia will recommence on October 17, 2022.

Guests on suspended sailings will be automatically issued a Future Cruise Credit equal to 115% of the value of the funds received for all purchased services through AmaWaterways (i.e. cruise, hotel/land, air, etc.).

We encourage redemption of your Future Cruise Credit on any confirmed sailings this year or on any other sailing departing before December 2024. The additional 15% value of the Future Cruise Credit may be used to upgrade your flight experience or stateroom accommodations or to add a wonderful land package to your new sailing.

Ukraine

Our experienced operations team is closely following the situation in Ukraine. If any adjustments to our Eastern European itinerary are necessary, we will advise our travel partners and guests.
