Travel Advisory

Updated: January 1, 2020 at 8:00 AM PST

We are continuously monitoring the updates from global health authorities and local governments in the U.S. and around the world with regards to the ongoing situation. At this time, we have extended suspensions for river cruise sailings embarking through December 31, 2020.*

We want to assure our guests that we have protected their long-awaited travel experience by automatically issuing a Future Cruise Credit* equal to 115% of the value of the funds received for all purchased services through AmaWaterways (i.e. cruise, hotel/land, air, etc.), redeemable on any AmaWaterways river cruise in Europe, Asia, or Africa (including Egypt) embarking through December 31, 2022. For added flexibility, we have also made these Future Cruise Credits transferrable at any time prior to December 31, 2022 with the original owner’s written authorization.

We want to reassure you that we are in a secure position to welcome guests back on board once we can safely sail again. Until then, the rivers continue to flow and our staff and crew are patiently waiting to treat you to a memorable river cruise experience.

Terms & Conditions:

This offer is only applicable to cruises affected by suspended operations and applies to guests currently reserved on the impacted sailing at the time of suspension. Future Cruise Credit (“FCC 115%”) is equal to 115% of the value of the funds that AmaWaterways has received for all purchased services through AmaWaterways and may be applied to any sailings embarking through December 31, 2022. If purchased, Travel Waiver Plus premium amount will be refunded to the original form of payment. FCC 115% can be applied to all AmaWaterways purchased services, as well as cruise deposits. FCC 115% has no cash value. FCC 115% is transferrable with written confirmation provided by original FCC owner, and requires the full name of recipient. Upon the expiration of the FCC 115% on December 31, 2022, guests unable to use their FCC 115% may ask for an extension or a refund equal to the original amount paid to AmaWaterways, unless FCC 115% has been applied in whole or in part to a new reservation. Guests who wish to opt out of the FCC 115% option must do so before the commencement date of their suspended cruise. Any issued Future Cruise Credit (“FCC”) not related to cruise suspensions due to COVID-19 are not eligible for extensions. Standard AmaWaterways Cancellation Policy and other restrictions will apply to the FCC. These temporary conditions are subject to change or withdrawal at any time. For international reservations on suspended operations, please inquire with your AmaWaterways representative for specific future cruise credit values and terms. CST#2065452-20.

*The announced suspension date does not impact the chartered river cruise series on the Rhine in collaboration with German tour operator e-hoi.
