I had the most luxurious, top of the line Danube River cruise this past week! Thinking of going? Hands down, AmaWaterways, a family owned company, completely exceeded any cruise line and cruise I have ever done!! Awesome tour guides. Spacious and well appointed.

We have been on quite a few of the traditional ‘big ship’ ocean cruises and we were somewhat apprehensive about our first European river cruise on a small ship. Would the ship be nice? The accommodations? The service? The food? Would the included tours be nice? Or something less? Well the answer to all these questions were a resounding ‘YES!’ in the positive. The service provided by the employees on the this ship was something we rarely see in today’s world…From the time we stepped on the ship to the moment we said our last goodbye…we felt more like friends than customers…We will highly recommend AmaWaterways to everyone we know.

Overall, the entire experience exceeded our expectations and was completely wonderful. The staff of the Ama Certo were friendly and efficient. The food was beyond belief great at each and every meal. Our cruise manager, Victor Cartim, was fantastic. Victor worked tirelessly for all of his guests and thought of everything we needed well in advance. Thanks to Victor's thoroughness and attention to detail, we were well prepared for our adventures. We are eager to cruise again with AmaWaterways.

This was our eleventh cruise but first river cruise. Christian, our cruise director, is the most knowledgeable cruise director we have had on any of the cruises. He anticipated everything that would be needed on the excursions, the post-cruise visit to Switzerland and the evening entertainment. We are already looking forward to taking another river cruise with AmaWaterways.

My wife and I want to thank you and the crew of the AmaDagio for an absolutely delightful cruise on the Rhone River. Excellent service, outstanding food and delightful company. The tours we took were excellent and our guides were quite good. We appreciate the fact that nearly all the tours are covered in the initial cruise fee, unlike the big, ocean liner cruises. We now have the delightful task of deciding which cruise to take next and when to go!

While we always heard wonderful things about river cruising, Ama exceeded all of our expectations on what the cruise would be. One could not find a more helpful, more courteous, more hard working staff throughout the ship. They made each one of us feel special.

The intimate nature of the cruise provided an atmosphere to meet what seemed like the whole cruise party and we have made some friends who will be long term. This was our first river cruise and is only the beginning with Ama.

My husband and I are just back from a wonderful Danube cruise on the AmaDolce and I want to tell you that it was the best vacation we've ever taken. The ship and the beautiful cruise destinations are certainly key to our experience. But I also want to mention the crew. To a person, we found the crew to be cheerful, helpful and genuinely interested in the passengers' enjoyment. I know there are a lot of cruise lines now, but after this cruise, I wouldn't trust our next vacation to any line besides Ama.

This was my 1st river cruise but it was not my last. Thank you AmaWaterways for such a great ship.

What a wonderful time we had aboard the AmaLegro last week! This was our second Ama cruise and once again, your staff provided us with impeccable service, delicious meals and fabulous excursions.

The cabin, the service, the food, the décor, the professionalism, the crew, the entertainment, the excursions, the Cruise Manager, the Christmas decorations, the music, the cleanliness, the Chef’s Table ‘experience’, the welcome, the ‘family atmosphere’, the unrivalled warmth of all the people we met – all of these individually and together meant that AmaWaterways completely and utterly EXCEEDED our expectations. Special mention does need to go to the food, which was truly superb. I sound like I am ‘gushing’ – I am. We have come home to a renewed zeal for AmaWaterways.

We were very pleased with everything on the cruise and the extension. It was all first class. All of the guides for the excursions were excellent. The food and wine was excellent. It was a terrific cruise and extension in Prague and we would definitely recommend it to others.

I just returned from a Danube cruise on the AmaSonata. I cannot begin to describe how enjoyable the experience was. The staff is excellent and all seem to enjoy their jobs and making the passengers feel like honored guests. I have friends planning a river cruise. I'm telling them if they don't take an Ama cruise they are missing out.

Last week we were fortunate enough to be on board the AmaVida on the Douro River. What a magnificent trip, made even better by the crew, weather and wonderful shore excursions. This was our third trip on Ama and it did not disappoint. Your shore excursions were truly amazing, and I found it very difficult to pick one that I liked best. You combined so much culture, history, entertainment and fun in each one. Our vacation is one to remember.

I've been on several ocean cruises and this was my 1st river cruise, I loved the river cruise best. The small tour groups made it very enjoyable and the friendly crew was amazing. Always smiling, always helpful. Your crew is your biggest asset, they are just great.

I should mention that I love Ama Waterways. (This was my 4th river cruise but 1 st on Ama. The entire crew was wonderful - the food is exceptional - the cabins great - the public spaces delightful - Alex (our waiter) and I think it was Maria who kept our party of nine women in wine every night were so delightful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would like to thank all at AmaWaterways for the excellent service we received. The whole crew of the Ama Viola are a credit to your company. Their cheerfulness, hard work and professionalism at all times was truly remarkable and much appreciated.

The staff on board was wonderful! We found the bar staff, dining room staff and even our cabin stewardess all very gracious and attentive. Food – wonderful! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all enjoyed every day. We especially appreciated the creativity demonstrated, considering the constraints of a small galley. And The Chef’s table was an evening to remember! Watching the preparations throughout the evening, and then getting to enjoy them was great fun! We have actually re-created a dressing that he used on the Watermelon and Seared Goat Cheese salad!

“The trip itself was both spectacular and amazing! I cannot say enough about AMA, it is a first class operation and we felt more like honored guests than passengers. Everything went smoothly, especially transfers, and even when it didn't, it was handled so fast and professionally that it did not matter at all.

Rachel, our Cruise Director was a big part of that, she was not only so much fun and so energetic and upbeat, she was also truly an amazing person, and any cruise she is on don't hesitate to recommend, as she is the ‘secret sauce’! The wines were good to excellent and the food was excellent to gourmet, far above a standard cruise. Service was awesome. The crew was great. Truly for us it was the "trip of a lifetime" kind of thing, that trip would be a really, really hard one to top.”
