AmaWaterways is the proud Leading Sponsor of PBS’ “Plates & Places with Joanne Weir”
Joanne Weir had such fun filming on board AmaKristina on the Rhine and hosting a private group on AmaDolce on the Garonne River in Bordeaux, that she couldn’t wait to come back. AmaWaterways is excited to welcome her and her production team on AmaMagna to film two new episodes for her third season of “Plates & Places”.
Join Joanne and AmaWaterways as “Plates & Places” takes to the river again shooting on-location along the Romantic Danube June 2 – 9, 2019. On board the brand-new AmaMagna, you will discover the iconic picturesque cities of Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava along with the Austrian Lake District and UNESCO wine producing Wachu Valley. Your luxurious home-away-from-home provides a destination in itself, offering incredibly spacious riverview suites, four unique dining venues and five bars. Travelers interested in health and wellness can take advantage of a large swimming pool and whirlpool on the Sun Deck; the expansive Zen Wellness Studio, featuring a fitness center and spa services, including manicure and pedicure services; as well as an innovative Water Sports Platform with a Sundowner boat that takes guests even closer to the Danube.
Joanne will be hosting two presentations onboard for all our guests where she will relate some of her favorite cooking stories and share a few recipes inspired by regional delicacies.
