AMAWATERWAYS UNVEILS NEW CHEF’S TABLE TASTING MENU

Travelers can now experience a reimagined specialty dining experience on ships in Europe

Calabasas, CA - (Jul. 7, 2016) - AmaWaterways today announced that it has enhanced its onboard culinary offerings, revamping the menu in its signature Chef’s Table Restaurant. The reinvented Chef’s Table will feature a true tasting menu with three appetizers, a champagne sorbet intermezzo, three main courses and three decadent desserts – serving up a variety of regional specialties and traditional dishes with more choices and flavors than ever before.

At the Chef’s Table - which seats 28 guests per evening - a demonstration kitchen is part of the entertainment as passengers can watch the chef prepare an exquisite multi-course dinner. Each course is paired perfectly with a hand-selected regional wine. One aspect of the new menu that was recently introduced to rave reviews on ships within the line’s European fleet includes tasting main courses of Cod Fillet with Beurre Blanc and Crayfish Cake, served along with Blanquette de veau charolais with saffron and a side dish of Porcini Ravioli with Truffle Mousseline and fresh asparagus.

“At AmaWaterways, we enjoy constantly experimenting with new ways to improve the guest experience, and the area of food and wine is one where we can really have a lot of fun, bringing in local and regional flavors to offer something that can’t be found elsewhere,” said Rudi Schreiner, president and co-owner of AmaWaterways.

“In collaboration with our executive chef, Primus Perchtold, we have created a truly distinctive, intimate experience in the Chef’s Table. Our new tasting menu gives travelers the variety and choices we know they are seeking and, we believe, the very best cuisine available on the river.”

The Chef’s Table is the only venue of its kind on the rivers of Europe. It allows each guest the opportunity to experience award-winning cuisine in an intimate signature dining venue, all included in their cruise fare. In addition to the specialty restaurant experience, AmaWaterways features an award-winning main dining room, a selection of tapas in between lunch and dinner, complimentary, unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks with lunch and dinner and sparkling wine with breakfast.

AmaWaterways is also a proud member of La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, one of the world’s most prestigious culinary organizations. Membership to La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is by invitation and is extended only to those possessing world-class culinary acumen. During each sailing, guests are treated to an unforgettable La Chaîne dinner, which is a delectable tribute to the river cruise line being recognized for its renowned dining.
