Our UK sales team proudly showcased AmaWaterways to a group of 105 travel agents and media who were welcomed onboard the AmaPrima in the Netherlands March 21-23, 2017. While the group’s stay was just two short days, the team used every available minute during this “SUPERFAM” to provide our important travel partners with a taste of what their clients experience while on board a regularly scheduled seven-night river cruise.
Dining was of course at the center of the experience. The chefs on board were thrilled to be able to offer our “La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs” inspired dinner with selected fine wine pairings – an epicurean dining event that our guests savor during every AmaWaterways cruise.
Our agent partners were also offered a choice of shore excursions in the beautiful Dutch town of Hoorn. From a gentle walking tour of the town to a 12 mile active discovery on our fleet of bicycles, there was a variety of options, further mirroring the range of options our guests experience on every itinerary.
There was also lot of exciting news to share with this group of top travel agents including the launch of our newest ships AmaKristina in April of this year and AmaLea in 2018. Learning more about our 50 Wine Themed cruises, the multiple hiking and biking tours and our enhanced Wellness program were all of particular interest to the group.
AmaWaterways continues to expand international sales and marketing efforts with the opening of our office in Guilford, Surrey UK last September. Our wonderful UK team was very excited and proud to offer our travel partners a true sampling of the AmaWaterways experience. When it comes to recommending the perfect vacation for their clients, we know that nothing can replace first-hand experience and that “seeing is believing”.
