Egypt Cruises – Secrets of Egypt & the Nile
Our 11-night Cairo and Nile cruise program is operating normally and remains unaffected by regional conflict, with all departures on both AmaDahlia and AmaLilia continuing as scheduled.
Jordan 4-Night Land Extension
Jordan extensions will resume normal operations beginning May 1, with all itineraries from that date onward operating as planned. Guests traveling to Jordan in May and June are encouraged to check with their airline prior to departure, as some carriers have adjusted flight schedules. Guests booked with AmaAir should contact their travel advisor or AmaWaterways directly.
Dubai 3-Night Land Extension
Dubai extensions remain suspended for May. Impacted guests may contact their travel advisor or AmaWaterways to discuss alternative arrangements, including the 3-night Alexandria extension.

Basel
Please be advised that Basel EuroAirport (BSL) has announced a scheduled refurbishment of its main runway, which will result in a complete closure from April 15, 2026 through May 21, 2026. Please note that the scheduled closure dates remain provisional and are subject to change.
To ensure a smooth start or end to your cruise experience, we kindly ask you to consider the following options for your air travel arrangements:
Option 1: Travel via Zurich Airport (ZRH)
- Arrival to Ship (Embarkation Day)
- We are offering Timed Airport Transfers from Zurich Airport (ZRH) to the ship in Basel on embarkation day. These transfers are available for flights arriving at Zurich (ZRH) no later than 3:00 PM, with specific departure times to be announced at a later date.
- If your flight arrives after 3:00 PM, a private transfer will be required and may be arranged through AmaWaterways.
- Please note that additional waiting time at the airport may be necessary if you reserve a timed transfer.
- Departure from the ship (Disembarkation Day)
- We are offering Timed Airport Transfers from your ship in Basel to Zurich Airport (ZRH) on disembarkation day. These transfers are available for flights departing from Zurich (ZRH) between 6:30 AM and 1:30 PM, with specific transfer times to be announced at a later date.
- If your flight departs outside of this window, additional waiting time at the airport will be required. You may also opt for a private transfer, which may be arranged through AmaWaterways.
Option 2: Wait for Basel Airport (BSL) Availability
- Basel EuroAirport (BSL) may operate a limited flight schedule during the refurbishment period on their secondary runway. If you prefer to wait, you may choose to book a flight with an airline that confirms operations via Basel (BSL) during the closure window.
Recommendation for Guests Who Have Not Yet Made Air Arrangements
If you have not yet booked your flights, we strongly recommend purchasing air travel with AmaWaterways via Zurich Airport (ZRH).
- Your air reservation will also include one of our Timed Airport Transfers between Zurich Airport (ZRH) and your ship in Basel on embarkation/disembarkation day at no additional cost
- Should flights via Basel (BSL) become available, we will rebook your flights via Basel (BSL) at no additional cost.
Guests with Existing Flights via Basel (BSL)
If you have already reserved flights via Basel (BSL) during the affected dates, we advise you to contact your airline directly to confirm your flight details and/or discuss alternative arrangements.
Important: Colombia immigration registration form
All travelers entering Colombia are strongly encouraged to fill out the CheckMig immigration registration form. Filling out this form speeds up the immigration control process, ensuring a more seamless journey.
The CheckMig immigration registration form must be filled out between 72 hours prior to your arrival in Colombia and at least one hour prior to your arrival.
