AMAWATERWAYS LAUNCHES 2016 ‘SEMINARS ON THE RIVER’ SCHEDULE

Expanded FAM program welcomes travel agents on board for special sailings and key educational opportunities

Calabasas, CA - (Jul. 13, 2016) - AmaWaterways today announced 2016 dates, itineraries and pricing for its popular travel agent FAM program - ‘Seminars on the River.’ These 12 sailings give travel professionals the chance to enjoy some of the line’s most popular river cruise itineraries, hosted by expert sales team members who share in-depth product knowledge, strategies and key sales tips while onboard. Of special note is the November 18 Romantic Danube seminar cruise which will focus on building themed groups. The cruises provide agents with firsthand experience to AmaWaterways’ top-notch customer service, award-winning cuisine and an abundance of included daily excursions.

The 2016 FAM program’s itineraries include:

  • Vietnam, Cambodia & the Riches of the Mekong – 7-night cruise from Ho Chi Minh City to Prek Kdam or reverse aboard the AmaDara (embarking August 8 hosted by Alicia Landis, Sales Team Member; August 29 hosted by Brenda Kyllo, VP, Strategic Alliances; and September 19 hosted by Bambi Bryant, Sales Representative)
  • The Enchanting Rhine – 7-night cruise from Amsterdam to Basel or reverse aboard AmaPrima or AmaCerto (embarking October 26 hosted by Stacia Curchy Rutherford, Sales Team Member; October 31 hosted by Brandon Oscarson, Business Development Manager/BDM; November 14 hosted by Marci Neu, BDM; and November 16 hosted by Kathie DeVincenzo, BDM)
  • The Romantic Danube – 7-night cruise from Vilshofen to Budapest aboard AmaSerena (embarking November 6 hosted by Mary Margaret Reuther, BDM and November 20 hosted by Kelly Graves, BDM)
  • The Romantic Danube – 7-night cruise from Vilshofen to Budapest aboard AmaStella (embarking November 18 hosted by Liz Barrett, Manager, Sales and Business Development, Wine Cruises)
  • Gems of Southeast Europe – 7-night cruise from Rousse to Budapest aboard AmaSonata (embarking October 17 hosted by Sheila Bielich, BDM)
  • Melodies of the Danube – 7-night cruise from Budapest to Vilshofen aboard AmaSerena or AmaSonata (embarking October 30 hosted by Columba Calicchio, BDM and November 7 hosted by Steve Avalos, BDM)
  • Travel agent and companion rates start at $630 usd per person and stateroom upgrades are available for 50% off the brochure rate on select dates.
