Why Sail The Danube

“Ama” means love – and we put love in everything we do, including our incredible Danube River experiences. Learn about the AmaWaterways difference and why there’s truly no better way to cruise the Danube River.

Our Heritage on the River

Our Co-Founder and President, Rudi Schreiner, grew up in Vienna, at the heart of the Danube River. Each of our itineraries is thoughtfully curated under his guidance as the “Godfather of River Cruising.” Much of our crew also hail from the regions we sail through – unique in the cruise industry.
