In 2018, Bob launched Lindquist Family Wines, focusing on Rhône varietals and Chardonnay. His wife, Louisa Sawyer Lindquist, is also a winemaker, producing Iberian varietals and Cabernet Sauvignon under the Verdad label.

Their oldest son, Harrison, grew up in the industry, working his way from the cellar to tasting room manager and Director of Sales before returning in 2017 to run operations as VP. Her first harvest earned 94–96 points from Robert Parker. In 2014, she began bottling her own wines, including Petite Sirah, Symphony, Rosé of Petite Sirah, Pinot Noir from Yorkville and Santa Lucia Highlands, and Cuvee Blanc and Cerise. Her 2018 Petite Sirah received 96 points from Wine Enthusiast, ranking #16 in the Top 100 Cellar Selections of 2021.

After the last customer left, and the doors closed, Guy would retire to the kitchen to make dinner for the owner and chef before joining them for a night of food, wine and conversation.Guy was an eager, open listener. And over glasses of wine, his enthusiasm grew. As he drank from the classic wine regions of France, from Bordeaux to Burgundy, the men schooled him on the origins and characteristics of each particular region.

They opened a tasting room in 2001 in an abandoned fallout shelter and now host summer concerts, outdoor Shakespeare, weddings, and local events. They also mentor young adults through Wwoof.

Starting with 700 lbs of Sonoma Cabernet, they grew to 2,000 lbs of Santa Barbara Pinot Noir by 2012. In 2013, Sweetzer Cellars became a fully bonded winery in Lompoc. Today, they produce clean, balanced Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and other varietals using a hands-on, minimal-intervention approach.
