Carol Shelton has enjoyed an illustrious 48-year career in the wine industry. As Winemaker for Windsor Vineyards from 1981 to 2000, she earned the titles “Most Awarded Winemaker in America” and “Winemaker of the Year” five times. In 2000, Carol and her husband, Mitch Mackenzie, founded Carol Shelton Wines to craft small-lot wines from carefully selected vineyards that best express varietal character, with a focus on Zinfandel and Rhône varieties. Named “Winemaker of the Year” a record eleven times, her wines have appeared in Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of the World four times in the past decade and Wine Enthusiast’s Top 100 list.

Since the 1975 harvest, Bob Lindquist has built a distinguished career in the wine industry. At age 22, he began as a “cellar rat” at a small family winery near Gilroy, California. On his days off, he explored the emerging wineries of Santa Barbara County and quickly fell in love with the region. In 1979, he joined Zaca Mesa Winery in Los Olivos as its very first tour guide. In 2018, Bob launched Lindquist Family Wines, focusing on Rhône varietals and Chardonnay. His wife, Louisa Sawyer Lindquist, is also a winemaker, producing Iberian varietals and Cabernet Sauvignon under the Verdad label.

Pattie and Mark’s story began at the University of Minnesota in 1985, where they dreamed of becoming orchard farmers. In 2005, they moved to Oregon and discovered a picturesque 107-acre farm in the Eola-Amity Hills, transforming it into Björnson Vineyard. Today, they craft award-winning wines including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay Noir, and Pinot Blanc. Björnson Vineyard is the first and only vineyard in the Western Hemisphere to grow and produce the ancient varietal Gouais Blanc. Dane is an internationally experienced winemaker with nearly 24 harvests on his resume. Working in different environments and using a vast range of machinery has given Dane the experience to build a state-of-the-art winery and the confidence to bring lesser-known grape varietals to the forefront.

Trey’s love of music, especially Pearl Jam, brought him to the Pacific NW. After moving to Seattle in 1992 and working at Nordstrom for 8 years, he joined Dunham Cellars in Walla Walla, where Eric Dunham gave him his foundation in winemaking. Trey fell in love with the craft on his first crush in September 2000, a journey that led him to Sleight of Hand Cellars. He oversees winemaking, vineyard, and cellar operations while sharing sales and marketing duties. Trey is also a world-renowned Air Guitar player, enjoys karaoke, and cherishes his wife Holly and their three daughters.

Michael and Rhonda discovered their shared passion for wine when they met in Yosemite in 1984. They later settled overlooking vineyards in Fremont, CA, and in 1995 purchased a Merlot vineyard in Livermore Valley, where Rhonda began making wine. Together they built a home, started a winery, and raised their sons among the vines. Their oldest son, Harrison, grew up in the industry, working his way from the cellar to tasting room manager and Director of Sales before returning in 2017 to run operations as VP. Their youngest son, Parker, can often be found helping in the tasting room.

Peter Neptune, one of only 269 Master Sommeliers worldwide, began as a sommelier in New York before returning to California to focus on wine education. He holds credentials including Certified Wine Educator, WSET Diploma, French Wine Scholar, and Associate of the Institute of Wines & Spirits. Founder of the first WSET school in Southern California in 2003, Peter has taught 1,500+ students and serves as a Court of Master Sommeliers teacher and examiner.

Dee and Todd Krivoshein, raised in small farming towns, share values of hard work, respect for the land, and community. Todd’s wine journey began as a teen helping his uncle in Walla Walla. Linda and Mike McWilliams own San Pasqual Winery in La Mesa, California, with tasting rooms in La Mesa and San Diego’s Seaport Village. The winery produces 2,500 cases annually from local and California vineyards. Christine and her husband Dennis purchased 100 acres in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains in 1999, intending it as a retirement retreat. At 1,800 ft elevation they planted a family vineyard of Pinot Noir, once thought impossible in the Mid-Atlantic. Their son Nathan returned from Denver to learn winemaking, producing award-winning Pinot Noir. Ankida Ridge is celebrated for panoramic views, sustainable practices, and fine wines, reflecting Christine’s passion for viticulture and sharing the joy of wine.

Micole Moore and Teri Kerns moved to Ramona in 2004 planning a small hobby farm. They soon discovered Ramona’s potential for wine grapes and planted their first vineyard in 2006 when the area became an AVA. Today, Ramona Ranch Vineyards and Winery produces white, rosé, and red wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Merlot, and Tannat. The winery is San Diego County’s only CSWA Certified Sustainable vineyard and the Ramona Valley’s #1 rated winery for four years.

Ms. Theodora Lee, known as Theopatra, Queen of the Vineyards, is the founder of Theopolis Vineyards. She purchased land in Anderson Valley, California in 2001 and planted her first grapes in 2003, naming the vineyard in honor of her Greek sorority, Delta Sigma Theta. Her first harvest earned 94–96 points from Robert Parker. In 2014, she began bottling her own wines, including Petite Sirah, Symphony, Rosé of Petite Sirah, Pinot Noir from Yorkville and Santa Lucia Highlands, and Cuvee Blanc and Cerise. Her 2018 Petite Sirah received 96 points from Wine Enthusiast, ranking #16 in the Top 100 Cellar Selections of 2021.

Guy Davis' wine roots run deep, reaching back to the age of nineteen when he worked in a French restaurant in Seattle while pursuing an economics degree at the University of Washington. Guy worked as an assistant to the chef, arriving each afternoon to work late into the night. After the last customer left, and the doors closed, Guy would retire to the kitchen to make dinner for the owner and chef before joining them for a night of food, wine and conversation.Guy was an eager, open listener. And over glasses of wine, his enthusiasm grew. As he drank from the classic wine regions of France, from Bordeaux to Burgundy, the men schooled him on the origins and characteristics of each particular region.

Located in the prime winegrowing area of Temecula, California, the Chapin Family Vineyards adventure started with an initial planting of five acres in 2002 with varietals of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Verdot. Each and every year since 2004, Steve Chapin, owner and winemaker has made more wine and sold less grapes to other wineries. Since 2012, 100% of the grapes harvested on the property have been utilized for production of Chapin Family Vineyards wines. “I want our winery friends to feel like they had a great time and felt welcomed in the quiet ambiance of the tasting room and patio area, a mini-vacation of sorts.” This is why on every Chapin bottle of wine reads “For the Love of Friendship”.

Briana fell for wine in Argentina and now manages the tasting room, wine club, and calendar, while assisting in the winery as taster, marketer, grape sorter, logistics coordinator, and salesperson.

Stuart, a fifth-generation Sacramento Valley farmer, and Dolores, from the Sierra Nevada, studied agriculture at Chico State and planted their first acre of grapes in 1993 on land purchased 50 years earlier by Dolores’ grandparents. Brice Station Vineyards, named for the historic stagecoach stop, sits at 3,280 ft, the highest in California’s Gold Rush region. They opened a tasting room in 2001 in an abandoned fallout shelter and now host summer concerts, outdoor Shakespeare, weddings, and local events. They also mentor young adults through Wwoof.

Krista Lauer, VP of Hospitality, returned in 2022 after an M.A. in Art History and six years at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. She oversees the Tasting Room and events, enhancing operations and guest experiences while upholding Bryn Mawr’s hospitality legacy.

Peter Marks, Master of Wine, is a Partner and Instructor with the Napa Valley Wine Academy in California. An internationally respected consultant and educator, he has 39 years of industry experience. One of only 59 Masters of Wine in the U.S. and 414 worldwide, Peter earned his MW in 1995, becoming the 10th American to pass and the first to receive the Madame Bollinger Foundation Award for the highest blind tasting score. From 2008 to 2019, he served as VP of Education for Constellation Brands, overseeing programs including the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) for employees and customers.

Doug Margerum has been a leader in Santa Barbara’s food and wine scene for over 40 years. In 1981, he and his family founded the Wine Cask, a legendary restaurant earning the Wine Spectator Grand Award in 1994. Doug co-founded Vita Nova Winery in 1986 and sold the Wine Cask in 2007 to focus on winemaking, having started Margerum Wine Company in 2001. He produces limited wines from the Estate Vineyard in Los Olivos and top Santa Barbara County sites. In 2014, he launched Barden Wines, highlighting Sta. Rita Hills terroir with cuisine-friendly, age-worthy wines. Doug was recently nominated Winemaker of the Year by Wine Enthusiast.

Barbieri Wine Company was founded in 2005 by Master Sommelier Paolo Barbieri, who began making small experimental lots in his Las Vegas garage in 2003. Paolo honed his winemaking skills using Santa Barbara County fruit, eventually crafting wines in Buellton while commuting from Las Vegas. Erin Kempe, with a culinary career in Texas and Las Vegas working with James Beard chefs, partnered with Paolo to create her own KEMPE label focusing on Bordeaux varietals, Rosé, and white blends. In 2014, Paolo and Erin committed full-time to winemaking, opening their Los Olivos tasting room and bringing their passion to the Central Coast.

Essence of Burgundy & Provence 8/27/2026

Deer Park Ranch was founded by Dan Lester and his wife Patricia in 1988 on a 200-acre parcel in Corralitos, California. In 1998, Dan planted the 14-acre Lester Family Vineyard with blocks of Chardonnay, Syrah, and seven clones of Pinot Noir. For years, the premium fruit was sold to local wineries and award-winning winemakers. After Dan’s passing in 2014, Patricia, with her daughter Lori and son-in-law Steve Johnson, created Lester Estate Wines to craft estate wines that showcase the vineyard’s unique terroir, collaborating with selected winemakers to express the character of Deer Park Ranch.

Karl Wittstrom oversees the daily management and operations of Ancient Peaks Winery. Karl is an entrepreneur, winegrower, rancher and longtime Paso Robles area resident who was raised amid his family’s ranching and farming business. Karl is a former director of the California Mid State Fair in Paso Robles, and he is a member of the California Cattlemen’s Association, California Farm Bureau and a past director of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance. He oversees his own family vineyard and co-owns Margarita Vineyard and Ancient Peaks Winery.

Enchanting Rhine 10/31/2026

In 2008, Lisa Liberati and Michael Fogelman attended a UC Davis winemaking program in Dijon. Soon after, Michael began making wine in his West Hollywood apartment with Lisa’s help—crushing in the carport, fermenting in the dining room, and pressing in the kitchen. Starting with 700 lbs of Sonoma Cabernet, they grew to 2,000 lbs of Santa Barbara Pinot Noir by 2012. In 2013, Sweetzer Cellars became a fully bonded winery in Lompoc. Today, they produce clean, balanced Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and other varietals using a hands-on, minimal-intervention approach.

In 1999, my dad and I planted our first vines, and by 2004 we made our first wine, Riley’s Rows Cabernet Sauvignon. After completing my chemistry degree at Cal Poly SLO in 2021, I’ve worked to grow Riley’s Rows across the Midwest, South, and now Southern California, while staying hands-on in winemaking. I focus on intentional, approachable wines and create my own final blends—Riley’s Rows is my dream come true, and I’m thrilled to share it with you.

Grant Westcott and Carolyn Hurst left successful corporate careers to pursue their passion for winemaking, founding Westcott Vineyards in Niagara in 2008. Drawing on Carolyn’s background in technology and management consulting and Grant’s experience in public service and finance, they created a boutique estate rooted in the Niagara Escarpment. After their first small vintage in 2012, Westcott grew into a celebrated winery, producing elegant Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from their restored 200-year-old barn. Today, Grant and Carolyn remain hands-on, welcoming guests to share wines shaped by their belief that great wine begins in the vineyard.

Inspired by his great-grandfather’s 1909 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, Weston’s wines reflect heritage, craftsmanship, and Napa’s rich terroir.
