The first AmaWaterways “brother ship,” AmaRudi honors Co-Founder Rudi Schreiner, who grew up along the very river the ship will call home. Scheduled to embark on its inaugural sailing in April 2027, AmaRudi builds on the groundbreaking design of AmaMagna while introducing a multi-purpose entertainment lounge. Together with the diverse dining venues and expansive wellness amenities, including a full-size pickleball court, that have made AmaMagna so popular, these innovations represent a true next chapter for river cruising.. 

In 2027, AmaWaterways’ European season starts in January with our new City Escapes itineraries. These cruises not only invite you to enjoy Europe’s during the slower time of year but also feature extended time in select ports and exclusive onshore experiences available only during this time of year, such as an onshore dinner experience in Bruges on City Escapes: Dutch & Belgian Waterways and an architecture-focused tour of Düsseldorf led by a local expert on City Escapes: The Rhine. 

Launching as part of our 7-night Enticing Douro itinerary, our new 3-night post-cruise land package lets you uncover the spiritual, culinary and historical wonders of northwest Spain. Immerse yourself in the legendary pilgrimage city of Santiago de Compostela, renowned for its magnificent cathedral which serves as the pinnacle of the Camino de Santiago. You’ll also stroll through the charming fishing village of Combarro and visit A Coruña, home of the world’s oldest operational Roman lighthouse, the iconic Tower of Hercules. This post-cruise package is perfect for history lovers, foodies and cultural explorers alike. 

Few experiences capture that traditional seasonal atmosphere like Germany’s Christmas Markets. Starting December 2027, you can cruise a 7-night route between Frankfurt and Nuremberg, enjoying the yuletide spirit both on board and on shore. Highlights of Milan include the awe-inspiring Duomo and the historic Sforza Castle, adorned with Renaissance frescoes by Leonardo da Vinci. This package, available on our Swiss Alps & Rhine Castles and Rhine Castles & Swiss Alps itineraries, lets you savor the soul of Northern Italy. 

Our popular 2-night Amsterdam land package is now available both before and after select Rhine River cruises starting January 2027. Travelers can delve into Dutch heritage at Zaanse Schans, a living museum village, then wander the city’s famed canals and admire the unique architecture on a captivating walking tour. With the addition of these two nights, you will also have ample free time to explore the city independently, whether you’re interested in visiting Amsterdam’s world-renowned museums, cycling the bike lanes with the locals or simply enjoying the atmosphere of a local café. 

Set to debut on the Rhine, AmaFiora continues the expansion of our fleet.
