Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in the Little Paris of the East

Arrive in Bucharest and transfer to your hotel. Romania's dynamic capital stretches before you, a city where wide boulevards echo Parisian grandeur, communist-era architecture stands beside Belle Époque beauties, and centuries of history converge in eclectic harmony. Settle in and let anticipation build for the discoveries ahead.

Day 2

Bucharest's Historic Heart and Architectural Tapestry

Bucharest has earned its nickname, the "Little Paris of the East," with wide boulevards and its own Arc de Triomphe. This morning, enjoy a walking tour through the historic old town, observing the many changes this capital has experienced through a mixture of architectural styles: historical, neo-classical, communist-era, and modern buildings side by side. Your guide shares stories of Bucharest's history and local insights for shopping and dining. The afternoon is yours to explore independently.

Day 3

Peles Castle and Brașov's Transylvanian Charm

En route to Brașov, visit the quaint mountain town of Sinaia and tour Peles Castle, considered one of Europe's most stunning castles. This masterpiece of German new-Renaissance features 160 rooms filled with priceless European art. Continue to Brașov, considered the heart of Romania and surrounded by the beautiful Southern Carpathians. Upon arrival, enjoy a walking tour of this storied Transylvanian city, one of Romania's most visited destinations.

Day 4

Sighișoara and Vlad's Birthplace

Dracula lovers are in for a treat with an excursion to Sighișoara, birthplace of Transylvania's most notorious ruler, Vlad Țepeș, also known as Vlad the Impaler or Dracula. This perfectly preserved UNESCO-designated town enchants with resplendent pastel-colored buildings, stone lanes, medieval towers, and a pedestrian-friendly Old Town. Vlad's birthplace still stands, marked with a placard, though today it houses a kitschy restaurant called "Casa Dracula."

Day 5

Bran Castle and the Road to the Danube

Journey through the Romanian countryside to Bran, where you'll visit Transylvania's legendary Bran Castle, forever linked with the legend of Dracula. Perched dramatically on a hilltop, this medieval fortress captures the imagination with its towers, turrets, and mysterious passageways. Later, transfer to Giurgiu on the Danube, where your river cruise ship awaits. Board and settle in as your journey through Eastern Europe begins.
