Job Title: Business Development Manager - (Northern California/Pacific Northwest)
  • Department: Field Sales
  • Reports to: Director, Field Sales
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Develops strong relationships with travel agencies throughout the assigned region.
  • Generates sales from travel agents, wholesalers and group customers in the assigned territory.
  • Develops new business opportunities, maintains and enhances relationships with all new and existing customers assigned.
  • Achieves established revenue goals within the budget.
  • Oversees all sales of company products through face-to-face contact, mailings, telemarketing projects, group training seminars, product presentations and trade shows focused on current and prospective travel agents, consortia and group contacts and tour organizers.
  • Delivers timely customer service to all product inquiries, collateral and co-op requests.
  • Initiates activities to motivate travel agents to sell AmaWaterways products.
  • Gives, receives, and analyzes information, formulates work plans, and prepares written materials, and articulates goals and action plans.
  • Exhibits strong negotiation skills.
  • Counsels and sells all appropriate company programs, products, and services to assigned customer base.
  • Communicates with management as required or needed.
  • Strives to attain all goals and objectives as outlined by Director.
  • Maintains a regular call schedule, with daily customer contact, and manages the territory assigned to enhance sales and profitability of the company.
  • Able to effectively use company provided technological tools, such as Sales Force, Seaware, etc.
  • Markets new programs, and instructs customers on industry or company changes, as well as, training of new products.
  • Provides management with filed knowledge and examples of competitive programs, services, sales techniques, and products to enhance our company offerings.

Job Title: Fulfillment Specialist - (Head office - Calabasas CA USA)

Position Summary
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of client/agency documents and promotional items. The Fulfillment Specialist is also responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the fulfillment operations including but not limited to box making, labeling, picking/packing documents, receiving, shipping, maintaining an accurate inventory, and meet or exceed productivity by performing the following duties.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintains quality standards as required by the management team.
  • Meets productivity requirements as required.
  • Enters inventory transactions into inventory database.
  • Performs labeling, packing, shipping customer documents according to specifications and schedule.
  • Uses computer programs designed to support various warehouse functions (receiving, shipping, etc.).
  • Supplies inventories, and assist with looking into discrepancies and taking corrective action.
  • Ensures all shipping materials are well stocked and available when needed.
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes workloads, maintains a strong attention to detail, and works independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Attends daily (or weekly) production meeting as requested.
  • Checks initial input for accuracy and requests additional information.
  • Helps to obtain best possible delivery dates for mailed items.
  • Interacts closely with the Operations Team regarding final documentation and inventory.
  • Is proactive and self-directed in all order fulfillment functions.

  • Submits a daily Time Sheet detailing work execution.
  • Enters, manages, and reconciles transaction data and contracts in customer relations (CRM), accounting, inventory and trading systems.

Job Title: River Cruise Specialist - (Head office - Calabasas CA USA)

  • Create and maintain river cruise, hotel and airfare reservations including: emphasize salable features; accurately respond to questions; quote prices and payment terms; secure reservation options; document special requests; close the sale and process payments.
  • Recommend solutions to overcome client objections and to address travel partner and guest concerns.
  • Make outbound lead follow-up telephone calls and email to qualify leads and sell our products.
  • Provide superior customer service in all interactions with travel agency partners, guests and internal partners.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to interact with travel agency partners, guests and internal partners.

This position is primarily responsible for coordinating and overseeing the successful operation of one or more ships through the flow of information to Hotels, Ground Suppliers, and European Staff and internally with group and sales agents by performing the following duties.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Work to a set Calendar of tasks for day to day operations.
  • Maintains hotel blocks, releases and requests space, including extra nights and upgrades.
  • Run reports.
  • Creates accurate manifests to convey appropriate cruise information and sends to necessary suppliers, utilizing the reservation system.
  • Confirms services with ground suppliers through monthly updating of passenger numbers.
  • Maintains costing sheets per departure for costing control.
  • Generates, compiles, packages and sends customer final documents.
  • Works with the Group Department to ensure all groups run smoothly.
  • Coordinates any requests for custom services, in a timely manner and quote pricing to the end-user.
  • Answers operations questions from Group and FIT Departments.
  • Works with the Air Department to ensure air tickets are issued in time and accurately.
  • Negotiates with suppliers for contracted and custom services.
Expected Standards:
  • Quality control through the accurate reporting of data to suppliers – either confirming services and passenger numbers or through accurate information on manifests and emails.
  • Control costs through managing confirmed services.
